Meet The Team
Jamie and Millie Davies
Jamie and Millie have both studied hard in the past attending courses such as EPOC (Environmental Permitting Operators certificate) and WAMITAB, both of these are nationally recognised qualifications. With Jamie out in the yard collecting vehicles and getting hands on processing them, Millie is in the office face to face with customers, booking cars in and processing sales. They both take a lot of pride in the work they do and always work hard to ensure a relaxed but hard working environment.
The team at Davies Salvage work together and have become brilliant friends over the years, this shows through the endless team trips to hooters and Summer/Christmas nights out. Millie and Jamie are the leaders of the company and encourage every single member of the fantastic team to excel in everything that they do, the support shown by Millie and Jamie encourages all members of staff to work to the best of their ability and help the Davies Salvage yard run smoothly.
Bill is our very own maintenance/bacon cob fetcher who has been with us from day one. He helped Jamie a lot in the earlier days and with some of the big projects we’ve done. But now he comes in when we’ve broken something, which can be quite often!!
Karen joined us in March 2014. She covers the accounts side of things and as the business has grown, Karen has gone onto train in Sage to provide an efficient book keeping system.
Kirsty joined us in April 2015 as an apprentice and has completed level 2 in business admin and then went onto compete level 3 in customer service.
With a good knowledge of how the dismantling industry runs, Kirsty is first port of call for all customers to check compatibility and order parts. Along with this, Kirsty organises all our scrap car collections and advertises our stock.
Joining us as a 17 year old girl, to now, a 21 year old woman who’s confidence and knowledge has grown with us along side our business.
Will joined us in August 2016 as an apprentice and has completed level 2 in warehouse management.
Will had little knowledge of cars before starting with us, and now can undertake any task in the yard, from removing interior parts such as seats and switches, to removing engines and gearboxes.
Will has also passed his forklift and grab license which allows him to get the cars down off our car racking, to using our auto dismantler which helps us reclaim any ferrous metal within the vehicle shell.
Abbie joined us in May 2018 as an apprentice. She is currently studying level 2 in business admin.
Her role includes answering the phone, taking orders and advertising stock. Although she hasn’t been with us that long, she is a very fast learner and we have high hopes for her in the future.
